Biography
William has over 40 years of experience in private security, executive protection and investigations, including 25 years as owner and operator of Knight Protection and Investigations Services. He is proficient in all types of investigations, including Threat and Risk Assessments, Embezzlement, Asset Searches, Interviewing, Employment Background Checks, Due Diligence, Surveillance and Business Profiles.
William is also accomplished in security needs assessments, training, and deployment of security personnel. He is a security consultant to national and international corporations. He has testified as an expert in Municipal, Superior and Federal Courts, and lectured on the subject of Home, Business and Personal Security to numerous business and civic groups. He has been interviewed by news organizations on the subject of security and threat assessments, including Good Morning America.
William has designed and implemented dignitary and executive protection programs for both high and low profile companies and individuals. He has had extensive experience addressing the unique security needs of the entertainment industry.
William has 31 years of law enforcement experience with continually increased supervisory and management responsibilities attaining the rank of Chief of Police. A significant portion of his career was spent as an investigator, supervisor and manager in the Detective Bureau overseeing virtually every type of investigation.
In addition to obtaining a Master’s Degree in Public Administration and a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice, William attended the F.B.I. National Academy, the West Point Leadership Program and the Department of Justice Dignitary Protection Program.
