Biography
Kevin has over three decades of experience in the security and investigations field. Prior to joining Rydan in 2010, Kevin served as a consultant in the role of Managing Director and Chief of Compliance and Internal Audits for TLO in Boca Raton, Florida where he wrote policy and procedures for credentialing, internal audits and compliance, as well as conducting audits.
Kevin also served as a Senior Director at the global risk management firm Kroll and Associates from 2006 through 2010. His duties at Kroll included cost-effective resolutions and strategies for client issues whether it involved investigations of white-collar crime, copyright infringement, fraud or counterfeiting, physical security assessments, and threat assessments. He also coordinated, provided and supervised executive protection assignments domestically and internationally.
Kevin began his private sector security journey while a full-time law enforcement officer with the New York City Police Department as a part-timer in 1993 under the tutelage of former NYPD Chief Inspector Stanford Garelik at his firm Excel Security. Once fully retired from the NYPD in late 2004, Kevin assumed the role of Director of Operations. Through 2006 he would oversee the day-to-day operations of the security guards, security assessments, system installations, CCTV, access control, central monitoring station, RFP responses, post procedures, service contracts, and budgets.
Kevin started his career in the New York Police Department and retired in 2004 as a First Grade Detective from the Manhattan Robbery Squad.
